Day 31

03/31/12 - between High Rock and Sam's Gap - ≈316 miles

HUNGRY!  And now out of food.  Today was rough.  Tough ups and downs, morale, hunger.  But tomorrow is a new day with hopefully more food (and hopefully I won't poop my pants during the night).  We stopped at the shelter for dinner.  As we walk up, a group of older men and two teenagers are making pudding.  "Hey guys, how ya doin?"  I say.  "Hey!  We're making pudding.  But you can't have any," says the boy.  Parents say nothing.  Nice to meet you too!  But we did meet Chia Pet, thru-hiker who started on February 12.  Real nice guy.  Reminds me of Bill Murray.
