03/24/12 - Painter Branch - 242.8 miles
We survived the Smokies! And now my dad is with us for a couple of days. Met him today at Standing Bear hostel. Hiked about 2 miles up in the rain. Not an easy intro hike to the AT. Beautiful campsite by a creek.
