07/02/12 - near Lion's Head - 1,495.6 miles
Today was brutal. Was shooting for a 30 mile day. By noon we had done 9 miles. Ouch. Ended up making it about a 25 mile day. Now there's some animal stomping around outside our tent. I am so so tired.

You were a bit hard on yourself. Then again, I do about 1.5 miles on the treadmill and think, "Yeah! Done! Next stop: shower and a sandwich!" Maybe the animal was one of the Wild Things?
