Got to Hot Springs today around 3:30 or so. First real trail town. Ate at the Smoky Mountain Diner. Met Elmer, owner of the Sunnybank Inn, and toured the old 1840 Victorian house. So cool! Ice cream at Sweet Imaginations. Then back on the trail with a steep climb as the sun set. Pitched our tents in the dark. A beautiful evening. I'm already hungry and craving soda again.
