Greg Cook is awesome! Slept in. Breakfast of English muffins and butter with watermelon and grape juice. Really nice guy and very generous. We took a photo on his front porch and he drove us back to the Trail. What an unexpected serendipity. Crossed over into NEW HAMPSHIRE. Wow! Hung out in Hanover a bit while we waited for the outfitter to open. Free Snickers bars for thru-hikers. Free slice of pizza at the pizza place. Forget Damascus... Hanover is the friendliest town on the AT! I feel pretty good starting off in the HAMP, and I'm excited for what is to come. This is going to be great. In other news, Anna and I really enjoy meeting SOBOs and then analyzing everything the said. New favorite pastime. "You know nothing, Jon Snow."
