PONIES AND 500 MILES! We saw two ponies today... a mare and her foal. The baby kitties came right up to us on the trail and we started petting them. Very sweet for being feral animals. Shortly after, we hit our 500 mile mark and ended the day with 17.7 miles – our longest yet. Still not sure how all these people are doing 20+ mile days all the time. I'm tired and my body aches all day. It's been somewhat discouraging for me.
